| BloodRayne |
| Imagine that Kain and Lara had a daughter, and she kicked more ass than both of them. |
In the years between the World Wars, Agent BloodRayne works as a killing machine for the Brimstone Society. Two missions, five years apart, turn out to be connected by one man. For years, this man has been searching the world for powerful occult artifacts to bring Germany into a new age of domination. Agent BloodRayne must face this man's elite Nazi army to prevent them from releasing creatures of unfathomable terror into the world in their unwavering quest for the artifacts.
The whole game is dark in almost every aspects, what can you do when you are playing as a vampiress? The begining of BloodRayne is awfully identical to Blade, whose mother was raped by a male vampire (except that Rayne is the child of the vampire, where Blade is not) and she is borned with all the strenghts of a vampire without the weaknesses. That leads to one question: So why are all the missions done after nightfall? The music soundtracks are well blend with the gameplay and enviroments, very creepy.
The fighting actions and moves are also well done, personally I think its even better than Enter the Matrix. You can execute many levels of blade feats to cut your enemies into pieces, or use guns on both hands like Lara Croft. For an easy kill, just suck their blood dry, healing yourself at the same time, and turn their body to shield you from any gun fire. Talk about killing two birds with one stone, you get three here! The auto-pointing system let you aim up to two enemies at once if you are carrying different guns in your both hands. She also have different viewing modes, and one of them is the bullet-time mode just like in Enter the Matrix, and you can use it as long as you want without the Focus point.
The AI, on the other hand, is poor, most of them just stand still and fight, only run for cover once in a while which makes it very easy for you to pick your enemies out one at a time.
One very interesting point I've discovered while playing this game, is that all females have excellent figures! On top of that, all their tits bounce a lot in movements and many closeups! What the hell are the developers thinking?
Anyway, this game is not recommanded to two groups of people: weak hearts and Christians. I find that the dialogues are always sarcastic, especially what Rayne would say, but according to one of our game reviewer Nexuz, most of the sarcasm is directed towards Christianity and alike. He is offended but I'm not, this should give you some idea of our religious believes, doesn't it? |
