BattleField 1942 Give 'em hell boys! After the success of Medal of Honor: Allies Assault, Electronic Arts has proven that they can do better. For those who love the WW2 environment, be amazed by the amount of stuffs you can do, and the great number of realistic historically battle grounds to be fought. Like MOHAA, you get to choose what you would like to be, the usual snipers or anti-tank soldiers. But the soldier classes donot restrict what you can drive or pilot. To get to choose from many vehicles from USA, Germany, Japan, UK or Russia, depending on the maps. From planes like the famous Japanese Zero fighters, to German Panzer, to Anmerican Prince of Wales battleship. Many of the planes and vehicles have seats for more than one player. Players can share one vehicle to maximize its usage. Example like one being a gunner and one being a driver/cannon on a tank. The single player donot have a story plot like MOHAA, where you inflitrate enemy lines and do some convert missions. This time you fight a war like everyone else, headon with the enemies. Every mission is actually the different theaters of war in the history of WW2. You can choose to take the side of either Allies or Axis, and rewrite the history as you play. So how about joining Axis to take over the World? The multiplayer is somewhat the same as the single player mode, but provides more options in game modes. Most of the maps are large, but one of the new features, that is not seen in any other games, is the flag point. Shattered across the maps, there are flag points to be captured, once the point is holding your flag, you can choose to respawn from that location. If you captured all enemy flag points, you win the game. It's a game not to be missed, if you like massive WW2 games. So far, this has been the best war game that really give you the thrill of being in a full scale war. Be part of the history, play it.
